To a New Year!
I don’t usually read USA Today. And generally a column that suggests religion is the answer to the world’s problems would invoke an “I don’t feel like getting angry today” response in me and would be skipped. But I had 24 hours to kill in a car this week. And our hotel was kind enough to give me a complimentary USA Today to help with that. So, happily, I stumbled upon this column that I really enjoyed, much to my surprise. Despite the fact that it purports to be “On Religion”, I found it to be more “On Common Sense.” And good common sense at that. The kind that people tend to forget. Myself included. But call it what you will. I’m happy to take some good advice from Ghandi and the Dalai Lama (and even a USA Today columnist) as I develop my New Year’s resolution for 2010.
